DACA Participants Needed for Project South and Freedom University

The Impact of Georgia Legislation Restricting Undocumented and DACA Students’ Access to Higher Education:

Project South and Freedom University, with the help of Emory law schools students, are working hard to roll back Georgia law SB492 and a 2010 Board of Regents policy that makes it difficult for undocumented and DACA students to go to Georgia state colleges or attend college at all. To achieve this goal, we are looking for students or parents to share with us how this law has affected you or your family. We hope that sharing your stories with the Georgia legislature will be an effective way to convince them to remove these barriers to a college education. The interviews will last approximately 1 hour and we will protect the identity of all participants. Interviews may be conducted in Spanish.

If you are interested in participating, please email:

Hallie Ludsin of Emory Law School at: hludsin@emory.edu.

If you are a Spanish speaker only, please contact Mr. Velez first.
